Hi, I’m Maicon,

Thank you very much for your interest in my tours of Lyon and allow me to share a bit about myself – I am a professional and licensed tour guide in both France and Italy. Following my graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Literature in France, I pursued further studies and employment in Rome, Italy, where I commenced my career as a tour guide at prominent sites such as the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill, and the Colosseum.

Upon returning to France, I obtained a High University Diploma to become a licensed French guide and pursued a Master’s degree in Art History with a specialization in Music Iconography of the Renaissance period. Since then, I have dedicated numerous years to providing unique experiences for people from around the world. While my passion lies in art and history, the most rewarding aspect of my work is the opportunity to share that passion with others.

Currently residing in Lyon, my interests span from ancient and archaeological sites, history, and modern history to museum collections, along with aspects of Lyon’s local traditions, including the silk industry, the Resistance movement during the Second World War, the renowned and picturesque passages known as “Traboules,” as well as gastronomy, featuring the city’s traditional restaurants called “Bouchons,” and the culinary heritage left by the Father of French Gastronomy, Paul Bocuse.

Lyon has much to offer, and at every corner, a piece of the city’s history can be appreciated. With a more dynamic walking pace, we can cover most of the city’s main features. However, if you prefer a slower pace, with time for questions or a quick rest, I am more than happy to adapt to your needs. Ultimately, my philosophy is that the tour should be interesting and informative, as well as enjoyable for the entire group. Therefore, tours can always be customized, and itineraries are flexible.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I eagerly anticipate hearing from you and meeting you in Lyon.
